Holy Spirit filled and led is an excellent description of Pastor Russell Herndon.
Pastor H. has been pastoring churches for 50+ years.
The building itself was destroyed by tornado a few years back. After rebuilding, only part of the congregation returned. Since then the church body has grown and changed. At first a handful of elders, then a few kids from the neighborhood. Today 3/23/08 Mrs. Herndon led the congregation in worship. Pastor Herndon sang and preached. The congregation from 5 to 85 sang praise and recieved word about the true meaning of Easter.
Overall: If you are looking for a growing, Spirit filled, pentecostal church, Bethany 1st A.O.G. is a good place to start.
Pros: Nursery is now in operation. Loving and caring church body. Growing.
Cons: Short staffed so not much outreach. MAYBE YOU CAN HELP?
