Teen to be tried as adult in Logan Co. murder

A Logan County judge ruled Monday that a teenager will stand trial as an adult on a first-degree murder charge in her fathers death. Special District Judge Louis Duel found probable cause to believe that a crime was committed and that the defendant, Kaleigh Lynn Fryer, 15, committed the crime. The crime is punishable by death, imprisonment for life or imprisonment for life without parole.
City OKs pool project

An interlocal cooperative agreement between the City of Edmond and Edmond Public Schools for the development and operation of a competitive swimming pool at Mitch Park was approved unanimously by the City Council Monday morning. Edmond schools will contribute $10 million in construction funding for the addition to the recreational facility, said Larry Stevens, city manager.
